Clinical Supervision in Washington State

  • My approach to clinical supervision centers on collaboration, mutual respect, and curiosity. Therapy is a field of constant growth; we are lifelong students of evolving theories, techniques, and, most importantly, of our clients. During supervision, we will engage in mindful exploration, compassionate reflection, and innovative problem-solving to cultivate the best possible holistic care for your clients.

My training is rooted in relational, psychodynamic, and trauma-informed therapy. I am deeply passionate about integrating attachment theory, contemplative and feminist psychotherapies, and an in-depth understanding of complex relational dynamics, including work with survivors of abuse. This integrative perspective provides rich, nuanced tools for both clinicians and clients. As my supervisee, I am committed to helping you develop your own clinical mind, authentic voice, and confidence as a therapist.

Here are some topics you can expect to explore in clinical supervision with me:

    • Self-care and therapist resilience

    • Theories, modalities, and clinical techniques

    • Career growth and professional identity

    • Navigating countertransference

    • Best practices for clinical documentation

    • Client safety and boundaries

    • Washington State laws and ethics

  • Washington State LMHCs (Licensed Mental Health Counselors)

Once you obtain your LMHCA license, you can begin seeing clients under the supervision of your clinical supervisor. In order to become independently licensed you need to achieve the following:

    • 3,000 hours of experience, or 36 months of full time (whichever comes first):

      • 1,200 direct client contact (individuals, couples, families, or groups)

      • 100 hours of immediate supervision with Washington State Approved Supervisor (with up to one other associate)

      • If your degree is CACREP accredited, you’ll be credited 50 supervision hours and 500 contact hours

    • $195 | 60 minute individual supervision meeting

    • $115 per person | 60 minute dyad supervision meeting

Supervision is offered in-person in my office in Seattle, or virtually throughout Washington State.
